Euroart is a not-for-profit
social-action organisation working through the arts to provide affordable studio spaces,
facilities and opportunities for artists and makers and, to create opportunities for
people to participate in artistic experiences.
We are committed to bringing contemporary art practice to the local community and beyond
and have a constantly evolving programme of creative work.
Established in 2002 by professional artist/curator Lorraine Clarke and space projects
quality engineer Nigel Young, in an old rag-trade factory, Euroart is now a complex of 42
studios of various sizes, art gallery and B/W photography darkroom.
The studios now host some 45 artists/creative businesses who are recipient to various
business support services, such as, organisation of annual open studios events, off-site
exhibitions and provision of information on business & network opportunities, and
business mentoring. Pro-actively managed, Euroart promotes the work of its resident
artists/creative businesses. Euroart also provides work experience opportunities to the
volunteer sector.
Euroart has delivered art workshops in the studios and across the borough; has been
proactive in Tottenham Carnival and Northumberland Park Community festivals; and last July
presented, on the commercial site where it's located, the 1st Euroart Live Festival, an
artistic initiative showcasing live art performances drawn from diverse cultures.

Excitingly,
Euroart also creates projects involving local organisations with the creative businesses
located at its studios e.g. costumes design (for children), a parade float (for a local
property developer) and artistic design of an Adventurous Play Park.
Located on the High Road we are close to many transport links, shops, bank, post office,
restaurants, supermarkets, hardware store, timber yard and other amenities. The site
benefits from internal parking, CCTV and coded access main gates that close at night-time.
Euroart is a founding member of Creative Buzz, both Lorraine and Nigel foresee
Euroart's proactive participation in the quest for more visual arts showcase events in
Haringey.
With the official launch of Creative Buzz [the banner of Haringey Council's
City Growth Strategy Group for Creative Businesses] in November 2005, Euroart - as a
founding member, foresees proactive participation in the transformation of Tottenham into
a creative and cultural tourism zone.
