Artists >> Clohisey Mary
Mary Clohisey is an artist from Dublin, Ireland who currently lives in London. Her work mostly consists of paintings and 3D structures influenced by recurring themes, impermanence and imperfection.
Unplanned and unconsidered spaces for her display unintentional art created by cities themselves. Recording and responding to her encircling environment she creates bright playful pieces, which aim to demonstrate contrasts between old and new. Mary constructs intricate layers and awkward assemblages pushing together materials to create new forms unrecognisable for what they once were. The aim of her work is to challenge people’s perception and appreciation of ever changing structures within an urban environment and display how this can influence and inspire peoples creative processes.
