My practice, influenced and informed by anatomy and aspects of medical science, refers to the "human condition" - from the tremendous impact of biotechnology to the complexity of the psyche. From large installations to small finely crafted collections, incorporating found and made objects, animation, sound, and (most recently) microtechnology, my work is infused with research into rites and traditions, anthropology, ancient and contemporary medical practices, folklore and belief systems.
Alongside an enduring fascination with the mind/body relationship, I have a particular interest in the faith that people invest in objects and in the physical relationship of these objects to our bodies.
